Amorphophallus yunnanensis

This Amorphophallus is native a.o. to Yunnan China where it grows up to 3300 meters. Because of this it is able to survive heavy frosts. It grows just a single large leaf each year up to 1 meter tall with a mottled petiole. When the tuber has gained enough energy it produces a large but smelly flower. It grows well in the understory.
