This species of Calliandra produces bright red flowers and is therefor called the Mexical flame bush. Like the Albizia the leaves go to 'sleep' during the night. It should be kept free of frost.

These plants drop their leaves in winter. If you order a plant during winter, expect to get a plant without leaves.
