The Musa sikkimensis var. Red tiger is a large banana species that can grow up to five meter height. The Red tiger variety produces red stripes on the upper side of the leaves and a red glow on the underside. The more light it receives the more red it will produce. This is one of the hardiest banana species and tolerates more wind then the Musa basjoo.
These plants drop their leaves in winter. If you order a plant during winter, expect to get a plant without leaves.
