The longleaf pine orgininates from Southeastern United States from East Texas tp the south of Virginia. It has the longest needles of any pine reaching up to 61cm long, although usually they a bit shorter. From a distance, young trees resemble the shape of a Yucca. It is the official state tree of Alabama and it can reach over 35 meters tall. Although common in the United States, this tree is extremely in Europe.
