Sabal causiarum

Sabal causiarum originates from the Dominican republic, Haiti, Puerto Rico and the British Virgin Islands. It has the largest palmate leaves of any Sabal and they can reach a height of about 10 meters. Taxonomically there still is some uncertainty about how the species relates to other members of the genus in the Caribbean. It can handle more cold than would be expected looking at there habitat range and they can even take light frost.
