The Sabal palmetto is a fast growing trunking palm. This palm originates from the southeast of the U.S. in the states Florida, South Carolina into North Carolina. The costapalmate leaves have a green blue colour and the petioles of the trunk split in to and making them crossover each other. This is one of the fastest growing sabal species that grows best in a sunny position and can handle light to moderate frost.
