A large Hedychium that can grow up to 2 meters tall before it initiates flowering. It is usually the last ginger in the garden to flower, usually in september to october. It tolerates moderate frost and should be mulched in colder climates.
These plants drop their leaves in winter. If you order a plant during winter, expect to get a plant without leaves. During summer the plants are cut to make them fit in the box for shipping.
