The Musella lasiocarpa is also called the Chineese lotusbanana. This relative small banana can grow to a height of two meters. It originates from Tibet where it grows up to 2500 meters altitude. The beautiful up to 40cm diameter yellow flowers can keep flowering for almost a year. It tolerates light to moderate frosts.
These plants drop their leaves in winter. If you order a plant during winter, expect to get a plant without leaves.
