The Furcraea longaeva is closely related to Agave and is also called the Perscadillo Giant Agave. The full crown can grow to four meters height and it can form a trunk of another four meters. The giant inflorescence could grow up to five meters height and grows from the middle of the crown. It originates from Mexico where it can grow up to an altitude of 3100 meters and because of this can tolerate moderate frosts up to -12°C.
