The Acoelorrhaphe wrightii is called the Everglades palm, however it had a wider area of natural distribution then the swamps of Florida. This palm occurs from Mexico to Cuba, the Bahamas and the south of Florida. These palmate-leaved palms produce multiple slender clustering trunks. Acoelorrhaphe wrightii needs to be grown on a relatively moist soil that is low on nutrients. These palms can handle some frost to a maximum of -8°C.
