The Archontophoenix alexandrae also known as the Alexander palm coms from Australia, where it grows to ten meters tall. These palms develop a beautiful green crown shaft under the crown of leaves. Archontophoenix alexandrae distinguishes from the cunninghamiana for having a silvery-white underside of the leaflets. They will survive some light frost, but it is best to keep them frost-free. These palms like moist soil which is relatively low on nutrients.
